Still catching up

I still have so many pictures to catch up on! At this rate it will never get done.

Here are some quick pics of some sights we saw with my parents.

This is a view from the plane ride tour I took with my Dad. From the air you really get an idea of how congested Tokyo really is!

Tokyo Tower

Us out to eat at a fun restaurant. You cooked your own meat and they had a cotton candy machine. The girls loved it!

This is outside the Imperial Palace

We went out to eat on my moms birthday at Outback Steak House. Very American!
It was raining a lot outside so we all looked a little rough around the edges!

Tokyo skyline from near the Palace

My parents on the train. Pure misery for my Dad I believe. This ride wasn't so bad, but on one that was a bit crowded, poor Dad he hates crowds.

We went to Ueno Park. Wanting to see the Zoo. But it was closed. But we made the best of it and just looked around. This is a monument which holds a flame that was lit in Hiroshima from the Atomic Bomb. They have kept the flame burning as a symbol of peace.

These are the little prayers they write down and leave at the shrine. They are fun to see, just hundreds of them. Prayers of people from all over the world.

Genevieve's face tells it all! Being a tourist is fun but very tiresome.

Genevieve's Blessing

I am way behind but am finally posting of Genevieve's blessing. We had her blessed on April 19th which is my parents anniversary. So that was kind of neat. We were happy to have my Dad here to stand in the circle. I was as always thankful for my husband that he is a worthy priesthood holder and was able to bless our little girl. It was a sweet blessing. Standing in the circle with Jeb we were blessed to have my dad, Fred Wilson, Brad Pierson, Jim Eves, Trevor Hall, President Johanson, Tyson Brown, Wayne Godfrey. I really hope I remembered everyone.

Here are some pictures of us that day. I wish I had a better one close up of her little outfit. It is so sweet, its really a soft material and ties around like a Kimono. I loved it, it was so gentle looking. We took with us a blanket that was made by Jebs grandma, and her booties were made by her also. She was wearing the headband made by my sister-in-law Crystal (thanks Crystal)

squirrel pizza

So when we went to Kamakura we had to stop to eat. I was hoping for a nice fun restaurant.... which is sort of what we got.

There were not so many options at least options that sounded good. So between the Crepe place that served hot dog and mayonnaise in the crepe and the pizza place. We choose pizza. This was it, on the 2nd floor

As we walked up the shaky steps the girls were so excited, look squirrels they said.

Then we went in sat down and ordered. Not the easiest thing when you don't know how to say cheese pizza and the lady doesn't understand you. We ended up with mushroom.... *sigh*

Then we noticed the squirrels, they weren't outside anymore

My mom was going crazy, she has a strong hatred towards all things rodent related

My moms upset face and near tears kept us all very entertained!

Of course when they came in on the counter and our "hostess" brought them out food, it was a little much for me to.
So if you are ever in Kamakura and in the mood for some squirrel pizza I have a great place to go!
Oh and if you want to get a strong response, next time you see my mom ask her if she wants some squirrel pizza. HAHAHAHA love you mom!
